Thousand Hills Farm is a family run operation with a deep love for all things equine, canine, and feline! We specialize in buying and training horses, with the desire to sell them to homes where they will have a happy and productive life with their new owners. Rachael Leigh is the lead trainer at Thousand Hills Farm and comes from a varied and full horse background, she has studied and ridden many disciplines from classical dressage to western pleasure. She currently specializes in using natural horsemanship techniques, and strives to help horse and owner breach the communication barrier and teach people to work together - and not against, their equine partners. All of our horses are taken through the foundational training that many horses miss. They are taught ground exercises to build respect and trust, as well as taken through a very thorough de-spooking program that involves bags, tarps, bridges, scary noises, and wildlife! All this builds the horses confidence in himself and the world around him so he can better focus on listening and responding to riders requests and cues.
