Rachael, Mazzy is doing fantastic! Thank you so much for the time you took in making sure that I knew all his cues and quirks before I bought him. He is the barn favorite, and even the vet fell in love with his adorable personality and offered to buy him if I ever wanted to sell him. But I would never sell him, he is perfect for me.

Hi Rachael- I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying Quinn and what a wonderful horse he has turned out to be! I have been able to play with him in the round pen, long line him and of course ride and jump. He is so safe and quiet; my 6 year old leads him around. Today he stood ground tied while I clipped his ears, muzzle, etc. and he is just a love! I get to ride 5-6 days a week and every single day I appreciate how well trained and fun he is. Soon we will begin showing and I can't wait. I took him for our first trail ride the other day. We were in the woods, along roads, came across dogs, etc. and he was awesome! We are working with a new dressage trainer and hope to show this spring. I LOVE this horse and so does everyone that meets him. You did such a wonderful job with him!!!! Thanks again!!

I just have to update you.   Things are going preciously well.
In the beginning we started with the "green" owners and the horse who was young enough to learn to push us around.   Our inexperience plus Destiny's inherent bossiness led to some bad habits being created. All this has changed now!  Sophie has been able to trot and canter over crossrails and has even begun to get Destiny to change leads while cantering.   Destiny jumps so beautifully it is amazing to see.  The first evening Sophie successfully jumped crossrails,  she had a smile bigger than the Christmas morning smile. Destiny she makes me chuckle.  She loves being ridden nearly every day.  She is so affectionate and loving and friendly. The world becomes more joyful when there is a horse in it who loves you. :)

Rachael, I wanted to send you an email to thank you and to let you know that we love Pepsi so much and feel so blessed to have him in our lives.  Our daughter is doing really well with him.  They have built a lot of trust and love.... he is such a great boy!

Hi Rachael, I had said I would update you on our progress…so here it is…Nickel is AWESOME!...I have ridden him a little bit every day…Sarah has ridden several times…in fact as of today, Sarah is having her first lesson with a trainer and she is excited…the trainer is perfect for us because he has the same philosophy as you regarding training…we have come a long way already, and still have lots more to achieve, but Nickel is so well behaved it makes it fun and fairly easy…Sarah and I decided we are going to shoot for entering some classes at another local open show coming up…so that’s what we’re working towards. Thanks again!

Hi Rachael, I just want to let you know how awesome Sunny is doing. He’s really come out of his shell and I can really tell how much he loves us. He follows us around everywhere! I love knowing that he’s safe and quiet enough for my husband to ride and learn on, but he also is so much fun for me to get on at the end of the day! We really love him and he has become a member of the family to us. Thank you for all your hard work!

Hi Rachael, Just wanted to let you know that Major or as I now call him Cody is
doing great. He just keeps getting better and better. What a great
horse. He has started bonding with me and I am having a ball on him. He is a great horse. It has taken me 3 years to find one like him. This horse was made for me.

Hi Rachael - I wanted to take a moment to write you and express my gratitude and appreciation for Scout. What a wonderful and special horse he is for my husband who is an inexperienced rider. Scout is everything you represented in your ad, he's kind, gentle, a quiet caretaker with tons of trail experience, he's an insurance policy for my husband. He is a joy to ride because he's well trained to whatever you ask, tries so hard to please and knows how to stop on cue, which helps a rider with little experience and confidence. Scout is great with absolutely everything and has no vices what so ever, just a really a good boy.
We can't THANK YOU enough !!!  Scout is a really special horse and we love him dearly !! Good horses like Scout are hard to find and we feel so lucky that we found you and Scout !!!!

Hi Rachael...   I have been meaning to e-mail you to tell you how much I love Jack!!   My husband and I went on a trail ride a few weeks ago and Jack was perfect!  He rode very well and was not afraid of anything.   When I ride him, he goes wherever I tell him to go with no difficulties - whether I ride by myself or with others.   He is the perfect horse for me.     I am VERY happy with him.

I found your web site while looking for a good trail horse in the New England area.  I kept looking at your horses and saw that every one seemed to be sound, sane, and fairly priced.  Finally, I decided to visit North Carolina and see for myself.  Everything about your operation is so professional - presentation of the horses, contract, and assistance with sale details like vet check and transport.  My trip was worthwhile - and I got Max!  Thanks so much for everything.

Rachael -
Want you to know how much we adore Maverick!  He is absolutely everything you said he was  - he is sweet, kind and loves attention!  After only two short weeks, he has settled in beautifully and nothing seems to bother him.  He is a pleasure to be around and everyone who meets him loves him!  I am so happy to have him in my life and I know I have a buddy forever.  You have a beautiful farm (we were so impressed when we visited) and you have amazing horses.  I hope to call you in the future for another brother for Maverick!  Thank you so much!

When I was initially asked if I would compose a testimonial for Rachael, my instinctual reaction was to decline.  Have you ever hoarded a delectable treat from friends or family members that only you knew where it was hidden?  Halloween candy, or pirates guarding buried treasure are the scenarios that came to mind when I was asked to speak on behalf of our experience with Thousand Hills Farm.  Alas, the private treat-eating, eye patch wearing, ahoy-matey ogre in me gave way to a higher level of rationale, and I thought about how great it would be for others to know about how amazingly impressed we were with all that Rachael Leigh encompasses.
My barn owner and her daughter, a highly accomplished rider, knew I had looked extensively for a horse that would be a superb match for my daughters and me.  This was not an easy feat as we have varying abilities and disciplines.  Sure, there were plenty of choices, but not a single one was a perfect match for the three of us.  Then, there was Thousand Hills Farm. As the barn owner, her daughter and I opened their web site and surveyed the horses and their videos, our mouths hung agape at what we were viewing.  The phrase, "walks on water," was uttered, and we couldn't schedule an appointment quickly enough to determine if this was too good to be true.
Upon walking up to a superbly maintained barn, a warm smile and courteous introduction welcomed us into what is now known in my circle as the "world of Rachael Leigh."  My daughters and I rode our prospect, and I could hardly tear my kids away.  Were it not for a pending soccer game, Thousand Hills Farm would have had figurative barn rats permanently residing in it.  Yes, Rachael Leigh walks on water in the horse realm.  Yes, her horses are the finest equines one can lay eyes on.  And, yes, the amount of time, training and professionalism put into the web site, pictures and videos is a direct reflection of what we witnessed in person.
Fast forward to actually owning one of Rachael's horses...  The day our gelding arrived, a welcome committee greeted us at the barn, and we received (and continue to do so) numerous compliments about how well mannered and trained our boy is.  I am in awe of the talent Rachael Leigh possesses, and never would I consider buying a horse from another.  If you're reading my testimonial, X marks the spot.  Look no further, you've found the treasure.
